TMII volunteers are people just like you who have joined together in the common bond of supporting Trans men and women. TMII is always grateful for new volunteers.

TMII is currently enlisting the assistance of volunteers to assist in our work in providing assistance and support to the transgender community. The assistance and support TMII provides is on an individual level, encompassing areas such as mentoring and support, housing, health care (including mental/emotional), employment, youth, and faith-related issues.

IF THE ABOVE POSITIONS ARE NOT WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR, READ ON:

This is a volunteer request for those who are interested in helping others. We are looking for self-starters who are comfortable in their ability to reach out to corporations, organizations, and members of the GLBT community in an effective way. Some of the activities that you would be involved in are:

Contacting various organization leaders & professionals to explain our services and build working relationships.

Contacting GLBT Community Centers to explain our services and build working relationships.

Attend Transgender Conferences and Conventions to explain our services and build working relationships.

Contacting and working with trans-youth organizations to assist in trans-youth related issues.

Assisting in the expansion of TMII to a Global Resource.

Working with corporations and various organizations to obtain and implement sponsorship.

Coordinating and implementing Fundraising activities.

Heading and organizing Committees, coordinating and implementing various programs to support the transgender community. (see next paragaph)

Requirements:

We are looking for well-spoken persons with strong leadership abilities. Self-starters who are willing to take the initiative and assist in leadership at the highest level. Previous experience is preferred, but not required. We're looking for people who are passionate about issues specific to and within the Transgender community, and has the time to devote to the organization. All positions are unpaid at this time. These positions can require some level of public exposure. If you do not wish to be associated publicly with trans-endeavors, please do NOT apply.
